TIME ITINERARY
8:00 Collection at Shanghai Museum on People's Square, Puxi.
8:30 Collection at Pearl Tower in Lujiazui, Pudong.
8:30-9:30 LuJiaZui Area
Jinmao Mansion Tower: Regarded as on e of the worlds most impressive architectural feats. With 88 floors above ground level and 4 floors underground, it is 420.5 meters high and contains a luxury hotel, offices and an apartment complex.  From the top floor of this astounding structure there is a breathtaking view of the city.
Lujiazui Central Green: Located in the shadow of the Pudong skyskrapers, covering an area of approximately 100,000 sq meters. The park is carefully landscaped in the form of Shanghai's city flower: the magnolia. The center of the Lujiazui Central Green features a man made lake which covers an area of 8600 square meters. The lake resembles a map of the Pudong new area. The central fountain in the park is renowned for it's spectacular 80 metre jet.
9:30-10:30

Riverside Avenue and Super Brand Mall:
Riverside Avenue allows visitors to take a nice stroll next to the Huang Pu river and enjoy beautiful views of Pudong and Puxi.  It is a perfect place from where to view the colonial-era majesty of the bund. Riverside Avenue is a popular leisure spot in Shanghai where people 东方明珠can relax, read a book and enjoy a cup of coffee in the peaceful riverside environment.

Super Brand Mall: One of Asia's largest malls; offering a great shopping and entertainment experience.   The mall stands in the centre of Lujiazui – under the oriental tower and within a few hundred metres of both the river and the financial district. 

10:30-11:15 Take a stroll on the Bund:
Once the home of the foreign traders and major banks, the embankment has taken on a new vitality in the past decade. Lovely old European-style buildings have been renovated to incorporate modern features.  A great place to visit in the daytime to learn about Shanghai's fascinating history, whilst at night there is no better place to indulge in fine dining at one of the roof-top restaurants.
11:15-13:30 Lunch at TianHouSilk Factory:
Tianhou Silk Factory is the largest silk factory in Shanghai. Visitors have an opportunity to view the factory and silk museum before enjoying a Chinese luncheon banquet.
13:30-15:30 Qibao Old Town was built in the Five Dynasties Period.  The town witnessed great development in the Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties as a trading town.  The food street that runs through the centre is a perfectly preserved example of ancient Han architecture. It is also a great place to enjoy such local specialties as ‘Xiao Long Bao' steamed dumplings, fried crab and beggars chicken.
15:30-17:00 Xintiandi bar street / Location of the first conference of the Chinese Communist Party
In context, this is a remarkable development.  Formerly a simple city block, this area played host to Mao Zedong and his revolutionary comrades in the early 1920's. Decades later, following mass commercial reform, the area was renovated to provide a luxury shopping and dining experience for the new elite.  Visitors can shop and enjoy gourmet cuisine or take up the option of visiting the fascinating museum.

This tour will run weekly from Saturday September 27. Simply check our itinerary for a suitable day, call us and book your place! Please remember to inform us of any changes in itinerary that you may wish to make.

Please note:
Applicants must be foreign nationals who have lived in Shanghai for less than six months.

Terms and conditions
Chin Spring Tour will run one tour per week between September 27 and December 13 2008. Places will be given away on a first come first serve basis. ChinaSpringTour will make every effort to assign a place to customers before December 13, though no additional free tours will be added after this date.
