There are six main scenic areas in the garden: Sansui Hall, Wanhua Chamber, Dianchun Hall, Huijing Hall, Yuhua Hall and the Inner Garden.
The Bund 外滩:  Shanghai’s waterfront was once considered amongst the worlds most ostentatious. Decades of prosperity brought international bankers, hoteliers and trading houses to this stretch of the Huangpu River, and their successes led to commissions for some of the world’s finest architectural firms.
Nanjing Road 南京路:  China's most famous shopping street stretches 3.4-miles from the Bund in the east to Jing an Temple in the west. The eastern section of Nanjing road is nearly completely off limits to traffic and one of the world’s busiest streets. Millions traverse this walkway annually, shopping in one of the expansive department stores, or sightseeing amongst the art deco malls and apartment blocks that betray the extent of wealth in early 20th century Shanghai.
Xintiandi 新天地:  A renovated city block that showcases the beauty of the Shikumen lane house, Xintiandi is a multifunctional dining, retail and entertainment centre. Offering a variety of dining and drinking options, as well as a multiplex cinema, Xintiandi is an elegantly maintained version of authentic Shanghai street life.
