ChinaSpringTour’s ￥99 Daytripper series is heading to Qingpu at the end of October. Come with us to explore Shanghai’s leafy fringe.

Bordering both Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, Qingpu is now part of Shanghai’s outer limits, but it was once a separate walled town with a rich and colourful history. Visitors will have a chance to see some of the local relics and landmarks, whilst also enjoying some traditional delicacies unique to the area.
Tell your friends, family and colleagues: this is going to be a great day. Furthermore, due to popular demand, there will be no passenger limit – just be sure to book ahead.

Itinerary
08:30-09:30 Shanghai-Qingpu

09:30-11:30 Zhujiajiao Water Town
A slow, peaceful meander around the water passages of this water town will make you feel like you are miles from downtown Shanghai. In decades past, traders used to congregate here to form a water market – something that can still be seen in parts of south east Asia. Step aboard a small cruise boat and be carried gently beneath the stone bridges and plaster facades of this ancient town.

11:30-12:30 Lunch at Fangshengqiao Restaurant
A delicious collection of local dishes can be sampled at this waterside restaurant. This is a great opportunity for you to relax and look forward to the afternoon’s activities. Zongzi, Sticky rice cake and Sliced Lotus Root with Sweet Sauce can all be sampled during the tour or as part of the inclusive lunch.

13:00-16:30 Oriental Land
Oriental land is a vast recreational centre just a short drive from Shanghai. The park boasts lush green lawns and cool man-made lakes, numerous rides and games for you enjoyment. The centerpiece of this fun park is a half size replica of a military aircraft carrier, featuring replica jets, tanks and jeeps.
