Shanghai begins its countdown to next years World EXPO today with the opening of the ‘Path to World EXPO’ show at the Shanghai Exhibition Center today.

The popular exhibition was a hit during its debut at Beijing's Capital Museum, drawing 96,821 visitors from July 5 to July 27.

Covering 1,200 square meters, the most detailed Expo exhibition uses more than 200 pictures and 18 videos to illustrate the World Expo from its origin and its evolution. It also features models of 66 pavilions and 12 multimedia display items. Nearly 100 models of previous fairs are also on display.
