Three Gorges Tour Preparation

1. Be sure to take valid identification

In order to board the cruise, remember to take your valid identification, such as passports, identity cards, etc.

2. Prepare appropriate clothing

It is a good idea to pack casual clothes with you and also a formal outfit or two. We also suggest bringing light sneakers and take water bottles, since it you will probably do some walking while you sightsee.  Umbrellas and raincoats are always necessary because of the changeable weather in the gorges.  Small and tough backpacks and fanny packs are useful along the journey.  Keep any valuable belongings with you at all times.  On the luxury cruise there is a Captain’s party, which requires formalwear.

Spring and fall:  sweaters, jackets and a waterproof raincoat with hood
Summer: Prepare caps, sunglasses and sunscreen.  It gets hot and sunny in the summer.
Winter:  Take a waterproof coat, and warm, heavy clothing.  It can get cold on the cruise in winter.

3. Checking the boarding warrant

The boarding warrant is the boarding note issued by the cruise company or the travel agency.  Just like checking into a hotel, please give your valid identification, such as a passport or identity card in addition to the boarding note.

4. Buying insurance

We suggest that you buy the travel insurance before the trip as a precaution.
