Since it was founded in 1981,Spring International Travel Service, Ltd. has taken on the coordination of various businesses such as travel and flight, and has established a network of branch offices in over 40 major Chinese and overseas cities. In recent years, the company's assets and revenue have experienced steady annual growth of 30-50% with sales reaching over CNY 5 billion in 2007.

1981- Shanghai Spring Travel is established with first-year revenue of CNY 10,000
1984- Spring Travel opens first branch office outside Shanghai with CNY 1.28 million
1987- Shanghai Spring International Travel Service, Ltd. is established with first-year revenue of CNY 5.78 million.
1994- Spring Group launches its online database, electronically linking operations in 12 different cities. Annual revenue grows to CNY 110 million.
1998- Spring Travel becomes the first domestic travel agency to register with ICCA and grosses CNY 430 million in revenue.
2000- Spring Travel charters 3,000 flights. Annual revenue soars to CNY 820 million.
2002- Spring Travel organizes the first International Tourist Attractions and Souvenir Trade Fair. Annual revenue reaches CNY 1.89 billion.
2004- Spring Group launches Spring Airlines as the company's revenue reaches a whopping CNY 2.5 billion - the highest in the company's history.
2007- Spring Travel revenue reaches CNY 5.1 billion and is named the No. 1 travel agency  in Chinese tourism.
