Guidelines for Booking a Three Gorges Luxury Cruise

In order to successfully book a cruise, please let us know the number of travelers, nationality, complete name list, dates of birth of children (if applicable).  Also provide the name of your desired cruise ship, departure date, route and number and type of room.

Fare includes meals onboard and travel fees to go ashore, but does not include drinks in the bar, laundry, beauty services, post and telephone, medical treatment, massage and shopping.

Deposit
If you book a tour 35 days in advance of the scheduled departure date, a deposit of 10% of the total tour cost is required.  *Please note that this deposit will count toward the full payment.
If you book a tour within 35 days of the scheduled departure date, payment in full is required.

Final Payment
If you book a tour 35 days in advance of the scheduled departure date, a deposit of 10% of the total tour cost is required and full payment should be made 25 days in advance of the scheduled departure date.   *Please note that if the final payment is not received 25 days before the scheduled departure date, reservations will be cancelled and deposits will be forfeited.
If you book a tour within 35 days before the scheduled departure date payment in full is required.

Methods of Payment

PayPal
Included in the body of the quotation email you will see a PAY NOW link that takes you to Paypal where you can make a payment securely online. If you are a PAYPAL member and familiar with the process, simply follow the usual steps. If you are not a member, instructions on how to sign up and use Paypal can be found on the website www.paypal.com. It is a convenient and secure way to make online payments.

Another way to make a payment direct to us by logging into your Paypal account at www.paypal.com.

Please note, payment by electronic cheque can not be accepted within 15 days of departure.
Note: If either PayPal or Shanghai Spring Tour has reason to believe that the payment may be fraudulent, we reserve the right to put the reservation on hold and require another method of payment.

Visa or Master Card
Those wishing to pay by Visa or Master card must pay directly at the ChinaSpringTour office at 1558 Dingxi Road, Shanghai, 200050.
Our business hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday-Friday)

1. If you book your tour 35 days before your departure date, you may be allowed to charge the final payment and deposit to your credit card separately. Those booking less than 35 days before the trip, however, will be required to pay the sum total at one time.
2. All credit card payments will be in RMB. ChinaSpringTour provides the exchange rate with the quotation, but please note currency exchange rates may vary depending on adjustments in global exchange rates.

Wire Transfer
If you book your tour 25 days before the departure date, making the payment by wire transfer is acceptable. If you make the payment from outside of China, please pay into our US bank account. For those making a payment inside mainland China, please send payment to our Chinese mainland account. Bank details can be found below.

*Important notes for making a wire transfer:

1. Please include your tracking code on the transfer sheet when you are making wire transfer at the bank.
   
2. After you have made the wire transfer, make a copy of the transaction receipt or stub issued by the bank, write down your tracking code on the copy, and fax us the copy of the transaction receipt at 86-21-52376977. Once we have received your fax, we will secure your reservation.
   
3. Please note that it may take up to 10 days for your payment to reach our account. For customers living within China, it is recommended that you pay into our Bank of China account.

Exchange Rate:
China Spring Tour converts Chinese RMB to US Dollars at a rate of RMB 6.80 = USD.
*Please note that even though we provide a quotation in both USD and RMB, it is only the RMB price that remains fixed. All other currencies will be subject to adjustments according to global exchange rates.

We understand that you may have to cancel your trip to China, so our measures ensure that you may do this with the minimum amount of fuss.

In the event of cancellation we will refund any payment made to China Spring Tours (less any cancellation fee that is applicable) within 14 days of our receipt of your written cancellation request.

For Yangtze River Cruise Package, the total tour price is divided into two parts: The total off-boat service price (flight ticket, hotel fee, ferry terminal transport fee and sight-seeing charges and so on) and cruise ticket. The cancellation fee for each part will be calculated separately:

1. For cancellations made 35 days prior to departure date:
   • Tour penalty fee：10% of the tour price will be assessed but may be taken as credit for use within the next 18 months.
   • Cruise penalty fee：RMB 500 per person.
2. For cancellations made 15-34 days prior to departure date:
   • Tour penalty fee：10% of tour price will be assessed.
   • Cruise penalty fee：20% of the ticket price.
3. For cancellations made 8-14 days prior to departure date:
   • Tour penalty fee：20% of tour price will be assessed.
   • Cruise penalty fee：50% of the ticket price.
4. For cancellations made 3-7 days prior to departure date:
   • Tour penalty fee：30% of tour price will be assessed.
   • Cruise penalty fee：100% of the ticket price.
5. For cancellations made 0-2 days prior to departure date:
   • Tour penalty fee：50% of tour price will be assessed.
   • Cruise penalty fee：100% of the ticket price.

For Yangtze River Cruise Ship booking only, the cancellation fee will be calculated as follows:

1. For cancellations made 35 days prior to departure date: RMB500 per person.
2. For cancellations made 15-34 days prior to departure date: 20% of the cruise ticket price.
3. For cancellations made 8-14 days prior to departure date: 50% of the cruise ticket price.
4. For cancellations made 0-7 days prior to departure date: 100% of the cruise ticket price.

Note：
Travelers leaving the cruise after it has commences will be unable to apply for a refund for unused services, flights and accommodation.

1. Adult price
   For travelers over 12 years, a payment 100% of the cost is required for one standard bed.
2. Child price
   For travelers between 2-12 years, on tour packages that include Yangtze River cruises in part, a payment of 75% of the total cost is required for the addition of a temporary bed. If you require a standard bed, 90% of the fare should be paid.
   For travelers between 2-12 years on a Yangtze River cruise solely, a payment of 50% of the cruise fare is required for the addition of a temporary bed. If you require a standard bed, 100% of the cruise fare should be paid.
3. Infant price
   For travelers under 2 years old, on tour packages that include Yangtze River cruises in part, a payment of 10% of the total cost is required for an additional infant that doesn't require an additional bed. 
   If you want a temporary bed you are required to pay 50% of the cruise fare.  For a standard bed, you are required to pay 100% of the cruise fare.
   For travelers under 2 years old on a Yangtze River cruise solely, a payment of 20% of the cruise fare is required for no bed.
   If you require a temporary bed, you are required to pay 50% of the cruise fare.
   For a standard bed, 100% of the cruise fare is required.
4. Temporary bed
   If your roommates agree, passengers may use a temporary bad in a cabin and pay 75% of the total fare.
   
5. If you apply to occupy a double room alone, you are required to pay 175% of the cost of a single fare.
   
6. Passengers who wish to stay in the Presidential Suite must pay 600% of a standard single fare.

Health
Each tour participant must be responsible for the condition of his or her own health and must decide whether he or she is fit to travel.  Those with existing medical conditions must get approval from their doctor beforehand.  ChinaSpringTour assumes no legal responsibility for participants' health problems.

Insurance
China Spring Tour highly recommends that you purchase full coverage travel insurance.  If you are interested in more information on where you are able to buy travel insurance, please contact China Spring Tour and we will be happy to assist you.

Complaints and Claims
If you feel unsatisfied in any way with the service that ChinaSpringTour has provided, please notify your travel consultant so that we can resolve the issue and avoid any similar problems occurring during your trip.

To be eligible for compensation, we must receive your complaint in writing at least 14 days after your flight.  China Spring Tour will not be liable for any claims made later than 14 days after your flight.  Please attach any relevant receipts and/or substantiating evidence to the letter of claim.

 Yangtze River Cruise operators reserve the right to cancel and change scheduled cruises in the following situations.

1. Due to weather conditions, water levels, a temporary sailing ban or any other uncontrollable factors, the cruise company may change its departure and arrival locations. Alternative transport arrangements will be made. It is possible that under these circumstances the itinerary will be changed.
   
2. If there are mechanical problems with the cruise ship which will cause a delay in the schedule, the cruise company will adjust the sailing schedule or arrange another cruise ship.
   
3. In the case that unforeseen factors occur that are out of our control including, but not limited to; war, terrorist activities, natural disasters, fire, weather conditions, sanitary issues and infectious diseases.
